Plays Unpleasant by George Bernard Shaw needs an illustration that is unpleasant, too close for comfort and beautiful like itself. So, I created a collage that I thought encapsulates the theme. The crow represents ‘The Philanderer’, snake represents ‘Mrs. Warren’s Profession’ and the crocodile represents ‘Widower’s House’. UNPLEASANT ILLUSTRATIONS

MOOr
AN IMAGE BOOK OF COW MOOr is a book about COWs. Yes, I too gave in and made a book about cows, like 92% of Indian artists. I think, if I had to give an answer to “why cows?” it would be that they are around, they are everywhere. Their mere existence in my daily… Continue reading MOOr
Cheese Spread
This part of the project was to make experimental spreads using three different compositional contrasts (2 of each) : scale, space, and figure/ground relation (depth). I chose five of my renditions to try different compositions to work as book spreads. I also tried showing texture contrast through some of these compositions. These compositions flow from… Continue reading Cheese Spread
MOO Board
The end point of Project MOO is creating varied images of your subject and composing them together. This all has to start with a Mood Board. I have chosen my subject: A Cow. So I made a mood board with pictures that I thought would have a semblance to my desired outcome.
MOO : Ranges of Representation

A Grotesque Accident
AKZIDENZ GROTESK was one of the first sans-serifs. It is the inspiration behind HELVETICA and GOTHAM. This time I decided to make a typographic poster representing the feeling that the typeface gives out. Akzidenz is crude and an uneven font and I choose to show that in my design.
Block Prints
This time, it was making patterns by starting off with a single emblem, arrangement of the motif in different ways and then the colours. I wanted to choose an era and a region. I choose the place closest to me, southern India. I took inspiration from 18th century block prints an similarly hand printed Kalamkari.… Continue reading Block Prints
BOTTLE PROJECT II
CONNOTATIVE IMAGE CREATION Connotation is an abstract meaning or intention of a term. Connotative images have a consequence or a subject behind them. These images were harder to make because more thought went into their creation.
BOTTLE PROJECT I
DENOTATIVE IMAGE CREATION I created various images of bottle using all kinds of materials and this is denotative, the images represent just a bottle.
Product Lighting : Part Two
This time it’s a phone. Last time it was matte textures and more Rembrandt set up, this time I tried to do the opposite of that. I made an advertisement for iphone6 for my assignment. I textured and lit the scene in MAYA.
